Construction litigation cases combine some aspects of property damage cases and commercial litigation in that they typically involve damage to property sustained during the course of a construction project but also involve interpreting the terms of very complex construction agreements and project specifications and involve commercial damages such as lost rents and/or lost profits. Construction are typically factually complex and their proper handling requires experience managing large volumes of documents, understanding construction methods and procedures, and experience with the interplay between owners, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors. The firm has considerable experience in representing contractors and subcontractors in connection with construction projects gone awry.
